Ted Potter Jr.
Ted Potter, Jr. broke through in his first year on the PGA Tour with a dramatic win at the 2012 Greenbrier Classic. Coming from four strokes down, with four holes to play, Ted won a three hole playoff for his first Tour victory, besting a field that included Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.
Born and raised in Ocala, FL, Ted learned and perfected his game from his father, turning pro at 19. Ted began his rise to the PGA Tour by playing on golf’s Mini-Tours and winning 18 times, including 12 on the Hooters Tour. Joining the Nationwide Tour in 2011, Ted won twice in 2011 and ended up in second place on the Nationwide money list. Ted began the season in Hawaii with a Top 25 finish and finished 62nd on the PGA money list, propelled by his win at the Greenbrier. Ted was a finalist for the 2012 PGA Rookie of the Year and looks forward to a long and prosperous career. As a result of his win, Ted is in the field at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions and all four majors.
